  Family member with cancer went to Dr. Mansell for pain management. He was unprofessionally rude and an hour late to the appointment. He chose to not get to know his patient and chose to not gain an understanding for their level of pain. Patient was told by reception that doctor will ask questions but patient is to just answer basics and do not expand or "tell stories". Some questions asked needed more of an explanation but the doctor seemed to not want to take the time to listen and get the whole picture. Prescribed medicines but chose not to talk to paitient about dosage, health risks, and expectations of medicines. I'm completely appalled at his lack of patient empathy. Patients original appoint was rescheduled multiple times to different days and also different times. If you have to go see him I strongly suggestion taking someone with you that can help balance the roller coaster of emotions this doctor will take you on.

  Dr. Mansell was very friendly and showed a real care and devotion to my health while controlling my pain. The patient portal was a Godsend. He normally would get back to me within 20 minutes or so. I appreciated that greatly! The staff on the other hand was snotty with a smile. If that makes sense? They were rude and talked over me while I tried to speak and explain my pain and concerns. I was treated like a druggie begging for meds. Just under three weeks after two back and one cervical surgery I was left in agonizing pain for three days. I cried to Katie (staff/nurse) begging for some kind of relief. She was uncaring and said she would get back to me after she spoke to the Dr. That's when I decided to try the "portal" to communicate with Dr. Mansell. He got back to me in 6 minutes!! The staff called me two days later to talk about what I needed for pain control!! Are you kidding me?! I then told her that Dr. Mansell already took care of it. That is just one example to show that the staff is negligent and uncaring. The staff can wreck the reputation of a wonderful Dr. and sadly that is exactly what is happening at Powder River Pain Clinc.

  This is the best dr i have encountered. He is slowley giving me my life back. He is awsome and a miracle in the flesh... 4 years of failed dr.s iv been through... finally im getting relief... thank u dr mansell!!!!! Thank u!!! Your patient donald b sortor. Through my girls internet... ty!!!
